How BibleTrumper Works

BibleTrumper is a 100% offline extension. Here's what that means:

Local Storage: All 8 Bible translations (250,000+ verses) are stored directly on your device
Local Processing: All searches and matching algorithms run entirely on your device
No External Connections: The extension never connects to external servers or APIs
No Data Transmission: Nothing you search for ever leaves your computer

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

BibleTrumper uses your browser's local storage to save:

Your selected Bible translation preference (e.g., KJV, NLT)
Your last search query (so you can return to it)
The complete Bible text files (46MB of data)

Important: This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. You can clear this data at any time by removing the extension or clearing your browser's data.

Browser Permissions

BibleTrumper requests only one permission:

Storage: To save your preferences (selected Bible version and last search) locally on your device

We do not request permissions for:

Access to your browsing history
Access to other websites or tabs
Network connections or API access
Location services
Camera, microphone, or other sensitive data

Third-Party Services

BibleTrumper does not use:

Analytics services (Google Analytics, etc.)
Advertising networks
External APIs or services
Social media tracking pixels
Any third-party code that could track you

Open Source Transparency

BibleTrumper is open source. You can review our entire codebase on GitHub to verify:
